Rejection is never pleasant, which is why it is imperative to have this section. When I first submitted my coming out story to a media platform, I was told that there were too many submissions for my story to get published. I had spent much time writing my story for it only to get “overlooked.” This discouraged me, yet was one of the reasons that propelled me to start this website. I encourage you to take your time, reflect, and submit a story that will not only liberate you but inspire others to speak up and take action in their lives. You can be a student, alumni, parent or faculty with a story focused on college and mental health.
In order for your story to be published, the piece cannot contain slander or inappropriate derogatory terms and must be between 250-500 words. We reserve the right to not feature your story if the above policies are not met. Our staff will also have the right to edit your submissions if necessary. In addition, if there is a high volume of submissions, we will provide another space for the stories to be read in a different format. We will try our best to make sure that your voice is heard!
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
